About GamedevJelly
Unity guides, tutorials and repos, hand-filtered.
GamedevJelly is a hand-filtered library of Unity tutorials, talks, videos, articles and open-source repos. It currently holds about 1,646 live links from creators' sites, YouTube channels, Mastodon, Bluesky, the Unity blog and GitHub, each with a short description, topics and a publish date where one could be found.
How links are chosen
- Timeless technique stays. Math, algorithms, shader theory, art breakdowns and design material are kept whatever their age.
- Unity-specific content is dated. Unity content published before 2023 is removed. Content from 2023 to Unity 6 (October 2024) is checked for whether it is still accurate.
- Obsolete tech is dropped. Pre-1.0 DOTS, LWRP, legacy XR, Post Processing v2, UNet/MLAPI and similar, plus Built-in-only tool content, old announcements, stale or archived repos and links with no usable information.
- Dead links are hidden, with an archived copy where one exists.
Descriptions are written to say what you will learn, and the library is rechecked regularly.
Repos
The Repos section lists open-source projects worth knowing, with last-push dates and star counts from GitHub, and the guides in the library that cover each one. It is editorial: repos are listed because they are useful, not because anyone paid.
Sponsors and affiliate links
There are no sponsors and no affiliate links at the moment. If that changes, anything paid will be clearly labelled as a sponsor or affiliate link, and ranking will never depend on commission.
Credits
All tutorials, videos and projects belong to their creators; this site only links to them and describes them. Thumbnails are loaded from the original sites. If you are a creator and want a link changed or removed, get in touch via bartouv.github.io.
